SoFi Stadium’s Ambitious AR Plans, A Resort Devoted to College Sports and Advice on 2024 Content Planning
Each week, we sift through a ton of content and then debate it ad nauseam at FEVO HQ. And since good content, like the mind, is a terrible thing to waste, we are also sharing it here with you, our fans, in the form of this weekly blog post on e-commerce, media and life on the internet.
Workweek: 2024 Content Planning – A Rough Guide
It’s never too early to start thinking about how you’re going to entertain and engage new and longtime fans over the year ahead, and content strategist Tracey Wallace has offered up a thorough game plan for plotting out your 2024 strategy. The Street: College sports towns are about to get an exciting upgrade
College sports towns are by and large not huge metropolises; more often than not, the universities they host are also the lifeblood of the local economy. In these towns — where college sports border on religion — thousands of fans converge every weekend for game-day experiences that go well beyond the field of play. Sports Illustrated saw this as an opportunity to launch resorts centered around sports-themed content and experiences. The first slated location is Tuscaloosa, Alabama, home to the Crimson Tide. The properties will include a full-service hotel, vacation club and residential condominiums featuring iconic moments pulled from the pages of Sports Illustrated, turning lodging into an extension of the alumni experience.
Digiday: How the NFL’s LA Rams advertises to in-stadium fans with Snapchat’s AR technology
Interesting new developments in ad tech abound, and this one sees the Rams taking things in the direction of augmented reality with a Snapchat filter. The Los Angeles club will partner with the social media company to transform their field. According to Digiday, at some point during an upcoming home game, “SoFi Stadium’s Infinity Screen will transform the field into the Pacific Ocean for a Princess Cruise ad, featuring a free cruise giveaway.” Ads like this are being used to further the interactivity of the in-game experience. Expect to see a lot more being done like this in the future.
