Boston Red Sox Knock Group Sales Out of the Park With Youth Sports Initiative
This week, we take a look at how the Boston Red Sox recently used FEVO’s seamless group ticketing capabilities and the Social CheckoutTM to amplify their ongoing Youth Sports initiative.
The Challenge
While group ticketing is a highly successful tactic for filling your stadium, it can also be a tedious endeavor for group leaders — especially when those leaders are volunteers, as is the case with the Red Sox Youth Sports initiative. The team needed a solution that would make it as easy and frictionless as possible for leaders to promote, share and collect payments for the offer among hundreds of players and their families.
The Solution
FEVO’s Social Checkout™ allowed Red Sox Youth Sports group leaders to generate a single link that could be shared via email, social media, or even QR codes printed on flyers — making it gloriously easy for everyone to participate. Groups that grew beyond a certain size also unlocked special perks like scoreboard shoutouts and on-field experiences. The outcome? More groups, bigger groups and more ticket sales.
We're really not looking for groups to try to organize this big grandiose outing on their own. We're trying to make it as easy as possible for them.
