The FEVO Road Show Pit-Stops in Austin for the 2022 US Grand Prix
A fortnight ago, the #FEVORoadShow sped into Austin for the United States Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas, Round 18 of the 2022 F1 Season. The highlights: tasty Texas barbecue, Austin’s vibrant music scene and the FEVO Fan Lounge at COTA!
The Fan Lounge was located at the base of iconic Turn 1, giving Formula 1 fans access to some shade (the good kind!), a seat, great tunes, giveaways, prizes, cocktails, a virtual race, and so much more.
Each race day, FEVO gave away a unique poster commemorating the race from three of our favorite artists: Fab Gorjian, Douglas Hale and Olivia Hartgers. Everyone who visited the Fan Lounge had the chance to grab a hand-signed and numbered print; by Sunday, a handful of fans were even waiting for us at the door when we opened, eager to complete their collection.
Another popular attraction in the FEVO Fan Lounge was the FEVO Grand Prix, which pitted attendees against one another in a time-trial race on a Formula 1 simulator (on the Circuit of the Americas track, natch). Fans competed in heats for the chance to get their name on the leaderboard and potentially go home with a killer gift. Grand Prize? A track day for two at the Longhorn Racing Academy in San Marco, Texas.
And while temps were hot, the music was even hotter, with a coterie of Austin’s best deejays rolling in throughout the weekend: DJ Mel, Ruby Knight, Orya and DJ Bad Apple. After the checkered flag on Sunday, the FEVO Fan Lounge felt like an unofficial on-site afterparty for Checo fans, who chanted, sang, danced and formed an impromptu conga lines (!) to keep the party going all day long and into the night.
Thanks to everyone who helped make our experience unforgettable — and be sure to come find us if you attend the race next year!
